Liberty Mutual Information Technology is actively searching for a Senior Application Architect. The Senior Application Architect provides enterprise-wide application architecture vision & leadership and makes active, hands-on contributions to critical projects across the enterprise. As a member of the IT team you'll be engaged in meaningful work for an organization that is committed to "helping people live safer, more secure lives" every day. Responsibilities: * Provides advanced application architecture support for enterprise & selected market projects: works closely with Market Architects and their architects to establish best practices, application patterns and target architectures for in-house developed software. * Establishes, facilitates and maintains standard application architecture patterns, roadmaps, best practices, etc. * Embedded on key market project teams and actively contributes to market project efforts. * Participates in enterprise-level architecture reviews. * Actively originates, contributes to and completes IT operational improvements. * Participates in critical incident triage and support. * Responsible for prototyping complex, cross-platform business solutions to validate technologies. * Influences technology direction and/or adjustments to incorporate these into business plans. * Develops and manages effective working relationships with other departments, groups, peers, and subordinates. * Provides consultation to Market CIOs, business partners and peer groups regarding long and short-range business requirements. * Recommends innovations, which anticipate the future direction of the business, its drivers and technology strategy. * Reviews and ensures major architectural designs are consistent, maintainable, flexible and cost effective. * Analyzes the technology industry and market trends to determine potential impact on the business. * May lead teams, may have overall leadership responsibility for project architecture and design.
